Was CM Punk's choice of Bloodline Jordans a subtle dig at Roman Reigns or just a fashion statement?

Footgear has been an interesting part of the WWE superstars whenever they step into the ring in style. Roman Reigns especially popularized the hype around a certain brand of sneakers (Air Jordon) which is his go-to essential. The Big Dog has often been seen in his cool, stylish brand of Jordon sneakers during the matches. In his momentous SummerSlam return, Reigns donned a pair of highly expensive Nike Trophy Room x Air Jordan 1 Low OG sneakers. Now, it seems, another needle mover in the company CM Punk is following in his footsteps.

Is CM Punk following Roman Reigns’ signature fashion statement?

CM Punk has had some hard luck at SummerSlam a few days back. After months of torture, Drew Mclntyre finally served him the taste of his own medicine. But the Second City Saint was far from being doomed in spirit. Rather, he’s seemingly gearing up for a match at the upcoming German PLE, Bash in Berlin. However, apart from his continuous sharp shots at Mclntyre tonight, it was his Jordan 1s pair that fans took notice of.

Back in 2013, the seeds of animosity have been planted. Roman Reigns cut ties with the Shield and was undergoing a huge transitional phase in his attempt to become the biggest babyface of the division. During that time, WWE higher up asked Punk to let Reigns look bigger and stronger in a match to keep his image in tact. The proposal reportedly didn’t sit well with the Seventh City Saint, something that hge revealed after walking away from the company the very next year.

The rumors of the bad blood was so dense that some even anticipated that Punk wanted to ruin Roman Reigns’ career in WWE. Altgough it has no solid proof, Reigns doesn’t see Punk in a good regard. He didn’t say anything personal about Punk, but slamned him over disrespecting WWE repeatedly after moving out.

While speaking to Pat McAfee in an interview in 2021, Roman Reigns cast doubt on Punk’s character for ill-mouthing a promotion he was a part of for such a ling time.
