Tony Khan’s roster again seems to be on the verge of losing weight with standout star Ricky Starks issuing an equivocal update on Twitter amidst the rampant WWE debut rumor. The 34-year-old mysteriously has been on the shelf since March, leading people to believe in potential injury conditions. However, the fighter recently clarified that he’s fine. With this, more doubts have emerged regarding what could be the possible reason for the ‘Stroke Daddy’ to put his AEW stint on hold for such a long time. To find the answer, fans foresee a WWE debut for Stark with some reports vehemently backing it up.
Even before the dust had settled, the star in question came up with a riddled tweet, potentially hinting at his next path in life or wrestling.

Ricky Starks has been a force to be reckoned with in the Jacksonville-based promotion for over four years and etched his own mark. The March 30th edition of AEW Collision featured Ricky Starks and Big Bill in a hard-hitting match for the first time since losing the AEW World Tag Team Championship to Darby Allin and Sting. That said, the botched finish of the match invited some rumors of Starks falling victim to an injury. Although he debunked the concern later, he didn’t appear inside the ring either ever since.
He was also checked by a medical team in Florida last week. Amidst this tottering condition, the old notion of WWE’s interest in the rival promotion’s top-notch star resurfaced again. After signing Jade Cargill last year, WWE started to lure over Starks but didn’t get any right chance to take him on board. With WWE still looking to make it happen, the 34-year-old’s recent tweet might be a massive clue in that direction, ”Asked me to walk your path…are you prepared to walk mine?”

Does the line stand for a metaphorical reference to Stark’s rumored WWE appearance? Only time will unveil the truth. Meanwhile, Starks is not unknown to the world of WWE as he had an encounter with the promotion back in 2017.
Ricky Starks’ previous WWE experience left a bitter taste in his mouth
Even before landing in AEW Universe, Starks appeared for a WWE tryout in 2017 out of curiosity. And guess what? WWE didn’t treat him fairly as they didn’t want a full-frown wrestler by heart and soul. In an old interview with Chris Van Vliet Show, Ricky Starks noted, ”They wanted someone who wasn’t passionate about it that they could probably make into it.”

“And I still don’t get why and that was a time period where I kind of went crazy; I dyed my hair and I couldn’t figure out what was wrong with me. So I don’t know why that happened and I thought every time that I went to WWE I was like ‘This is going to be it. This is how I get in’ and it wasn’t and that’s fine. I’m ok with that,” the fighter concluded.
Now, it will be really interesting to see how WWE will handle him if he ever decides to move to the Stamford-based company. What’s your take on Ricky Straks’ cryptic tweet amidst the WWE joining rumor? Let us know in the comments.
