When it comes to the most fierce fighters that exist in the WWE arena, Brock Lesnar will come among the top ones. Many tough opponents have a legitimate fear of facing him in the ring. Having said that, there is also someone in the industry who can challenge Lesnar. At least, current-generation superstar Austin Theory thinks so.
Austin Theory, who made his debut on the main roster as Vince McMahon‘s protégé in 2021, shares a friendly bond with fellow superstar Dominik Mysterio. In a recent interview, Theory came up with a shocking comparison between Dominik and Brock.
Dominik Mysterio can be ‘a little too dangerous’ for Brock Lesnar

Austin Theory was on a roll last year. He clinched two big wins, including the United States Championship and the Money In The Bank briefcase, back to back. Theory met Brock Lesnar during the WWE title match at the Elimination Chamber and took the F5 from him. However, it’s not the first time. He also faced the Beast Incarnate in Raw and SmackDown. Having a ‘great experience’ with Lesnar, Austin White still can think of a wrestler who can be too much, even to somebody as great as Lesnar. He is none other than his fellow third-generation talent, Dominik Mysterio.
During a candid conversation with Nick Hausman of Wrestling Inc, Theory was asked about the controversial young star Dominic Mysterio who faced imprisonment for misbehaving with his father, Ray Mysterio. The 25-year-old said, ”I think Dom’s a little too dangerous for Brock. That’s Prison Dom we’re talking about.” Moving on, he continued, “I mean, [Dom] did some hard times, man. That’s a touchy subject. I don’t think Brock even wants to speak on that.”
Austin Theory and Dominik Mysterio share a special connection
Dominic Mysterio has been on the main roster since 2020, debuting in a high-profile match against Seth Rollins. He had been in the shadow of his father, Rey Mysterio, until he turned on him at Clash at the Castle and aligned with the Judgement Day at WWE Clash at the Castle. However, despite a lot of people hating him, Austin Theory thinks Dominic set up his career like a real man. Being the Generation Z wrestlers on the current WWE roster, the duo shared a special connection.

Being asked about their friendship part, Theory explained, ”Man, it’s very unique, especially with Dom. Me and him are really good friends. So both being 25 years old and having the position that we both have, and just the level of being on “Monday Night Raw” and what we’re given, it’s amazing.” Addressing themselves as the studs of current-generation WWE, he added, “And especially like you said, having that different dynamic and that different fan base to really look at us because … We’re the guys right now.”

However, despite the statement made by Austin Theory, we are yet to see how dangerous Dominik can be if he will face Lesnar sometime in the future.
