Among many upcoming wrestlers looking up to John Cena’s guidance is Vince McMahon’s protégé Austin Theory. WWE Raw Superstar Austin Theory has seen a lot of growth over a year.

How was Austin Theory motivated by John Cena?

Austin Theory, after making his way into WWE’s main roster, Vince McMahon took him under his wing. However, it was the leader of Cenation who inspired the ‘Never Give Up’ mantra in Austin’s early days. Vince McMahon’s favorite was recently invited to Mark Andrews: My Love Letter to Wrestling podcast. While speaking to the host, Austin Theory revealed that Cena helped him through childhood bullying.

“John Cena has always been my top guy. His character and his personality and the things he did, the decisions he made; it made me feel motivated through being bullied and stuff in school,” Austin Theory mentioned.

Vince McMahon’s protégé’s current character is a flashy one. So even though Theory is not a baby face right now, being under Mr. McMahon’s wing may have likened his chances as possibly the next big face of the company.
