Vince McMahon’s Backstage Reaction to Botched Stone Cold Stunner Finally Revealed

Vince McMahon and Stone Cold Steve Austin are two of the biggest pro-wrestling entities and had a big hand in making WWE famous in the attitude era. The WWE Universe always talks about the bittersweet relationship between The Boss and The Employee they had on-screen in the attitude era.

Day 2 of WrestleMania saw Vince and Austin share the ring once again. Austin already had a match the previous night against Kevin Owens and appeared on Day 2 to confront The Chairman.

Vince McMahon wrestled Pat McAfee at WrestleMania 38. It was an impromptu match that The Boss of WWE had when McAfee was mocking Vince and Austin Theory after his victory over Theory.

Vince McMahon’s reaction to the stunner botch

Vince stepped into the ring after a long time and the 76-year-old boss gave a decent performance. However, when he was celebrating his victory over McAfee, the glass-shattering music played and there was The Texas Rattlesnake, making the Texas crowd go wild.

Austin gave a stunner to Austin Theory, Pat McAfee, and his favorite since 1998 Vince McMahon. The Chairman could not sell the stunner, which made the moment funny. Even Austin was laughing after giving an unconnected stunner to the Chairman.

As many of us saw at WrestleMania, Vince McMahon went to one knee and then he got up and stumbled against the ropes before finally making the move. Notably, Vince was pretty calm about this botch.

WrestlingNews.co on their website shared that Vince wasn’t talking about the botch. He was calm, and it didn’t bother him. After putting on a great show, Vince was happy all weekend and didn’t carry any heat over this. Vince took this moment as fun.

This WrestleMania gave the WWE Universe multiple moments where the arena went crazy. The Texas crowd saw Austin on both nights and also witnessed Vince McMahon stepping into the ring.

Stone Cold’s music was supposed to play first

When Vince McMahon won the match, he called upon his protégé Austin Theory in the ring to celebrate. Both hugged it out as Theory congratulated Vince on his victory and Theory’s music started playing in the arena.

However, Vince McMahon had a shocked face as it was Stone Cold’s time to come out. Instead of Austin’s music, Theory’s music started playing. Vince was briefly concerned with this playing of other music.

Although, Stone Cold’s music started playing as he came out in just a few seconds after the mess up. This did not affect Vince, who was in a good mood and enjoyed the rest of the evening after the main event.
