WWE is known for its storytelling and feuds inside the ring that captivate the audience. However, sometimes the most intriguing news related to the sports entertainment company may come away from the squared circle. The company has found itself involved in many battles over the years and recently they have been part of a much-protracted saga involving its former star.

Former Intercontinental champion Ryback has been butting heads with WWE ever since his release. Ryback’s issue with the promotion has been about the trademark of his in-ring name which WWE has refused to let go of. But in a recent update shared by ‘The Big Guy’, he revealed that WWE has given up in the legal battle and he now owns the trademark to his name.

In the modern wrestling era, there have been few off-screen feuds similar to the Ryback-WWE saga. Following his release from WWE in 2016, Ryback has constantly accused the WWE of exploiting his likeliness and that the company has refused to hand him the trademark for his own name. The saga began in 2020 when former CEO Vince McMahon was still in charge of WWE.

Ryback constantly hit out at WWE management with Vince McMahon as a particular target. He even took personal shots at McMahon on Twitter. Ryback had revealed that he was involved in a legal battle with his former employers over his name.

Moreover, he has also accused WWE of restricting his Twitter activity and shadow-banning him. He also pleaded with the owner of the site, Elon Musk, to help him out. But now after McMahon’s exit this year, it seems Ryback’s long drawn-out battle with the sports entertainment company is over.

He tweeted about the news and mentioned that his next chapter begins in 2023, now that he is healthy and owns the trademark. It is to be noted that the legal battle between him and WWE has ended with Triple H at the helm of the company.
