Vince McMahon is a great businessman and knows what his audience likes. For years he has sold the idea of WWE as Sports-Entertainment instead of pro-wrestling, which is for a reason. The main job of WWE shows is to entertain its audience. Hence, the WWE Superstars are not only phenomenal athletes but also good actors. They follow a storyline just like any regular drama or comedy TV show.
The only difference is that they take on much more physical risks. However, as much as WWE is about wrestling matches, it is equally about dramatic scenes portrayed by WWE Superstars.
One thing that entertains the audience the most in any TV Show is a good wedding storyline. Seeing their favorite characters end up together to attain unending love is endearing to watch. Turns out Vine shares that view on TV shows as there have been numerous weddings on WWE TV over the years.

Former WWE trainer and Superstar Scotty 2 Hotty shared how Vince wanted to book him in a wedding storyline with his tag team partner Brian Christopher.
Brian Christopher was WWE legend Jerry Lawler’s son. Recently, Scotty 2 Hotty appeared on Talk is Jericho. He shared the story of the formation of his “Too Cool” tag team at WrestleMania 14, along with Brian Christopher. Scotty said he had an opportunity to talk to Vince McMahon at WrestleMania while getting coffee. Moreover, he thanked The Chairman of WWE for putting him on WrestleMania alongside Christopher. Scotty further shared that he pitched something to Vince.
“It was just a couple of years before where I used the name, Scott 2 Hot Taylor on some indie shows. I pitched that to him. The next week, I was 2 Hot Scott Taylor, he was Too Sexy Brian Christopher, and together, we were Too Much. We were like the ambiguous gay duo.” (h/t Inside The Ropes)
Too Cool became a really popular tag team in the Attitude Era.
Did Vince McMahon’s idea for a “Too Cool” wedding come to fruition?
Unfortunately, the wedding between the Too Cool tag team never happened. Scotty explained that although he was open to the idea and could see it working, his partner disagreed. Scotty said.
“Brian just wouldn’t do it. He had wrestled for his dad in Memphis for years and years and had a solid paycheck there, so I’m sure he had a backup if he had to go back there. He flat out refused to do the tag team wedding, which Billy and Chuck later did.” (h/t Inside The Ropes)
