WWE Chairman and CEO Vince McMahon has created something unique, years ago. He created a television program that provided the audience with entertainment along with wrestling.

Over the years, McMahon’s keen eye kept WWE as the number one wrestling show in the world. However, in recent times, things have taken a turn for the worst. WWE’s partner companies, USA Network, and Fox, are having doubts about Vince McMahon’s company.

The USA Network is unhappy with the steadily declining rate of viewership of the program. According to FightFul Select, both networks want some changes in the program.

“A source we spoke to at USA Network pointed to the Hell in a Cell matches that both aired on Fox and USA Network surrounding the PPV as a look at some of the posturing between networks, and WWE doing their best to work with both sides.”

“The same source said that there were several at USA who grew tired of ‘scapegoats and shortcuts’ in the two years before the pandemic, and wanted that to change now that live fans have returned.” [H/t Wrestling Edge]

It is understandable that both networks are expecting something new and fresh as their main competition, All Elite Wrestling, is doing a lot better.

Gone are the days when WWE could get away with mediocre programming since no other wrestling promotion was on their name value. Now, with AEW making name signings such as CM Punk, Adam Cole, and Bryan Danielson, just to name a few, the bar has been set very high.

So in order to be the better company, WWE need to shake things up, both with their roster and their stories. If this year’s draft is good enough, things could start trending in the right direction. We can only hope at this moment.
