Vince McMahon is an entity that instills fear in every WWE superstar. His control over his superstars is not nefarious, it is just respect they show their boss who has been in the business for the better half of a century. So it comes as very shocking that Becky Lynch, one of the top WWE superstars, did something so out of the norm.

Over the years, WWE has seen many competitions rise and fall. From WCW to TNA, everyone had their moment atop the mountain. But WWE superstars were told strictly to not give the public any indication of a relationship between them and the rival’s talent.

That’s why many real-life couples move to WWE together; Karrien Kross and Scarlett Bordeaux or Zelina Vega and Aleister Black. So it’s surprising to see Becky Lynch’s reaction to AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door.

Becky Lynch congratulates Claudio Castagnoli on Forbidden Door

The former WWE Tag Team Champion, Cesaro, now known as Claudio Castagnoli, appeared on AEW X NJPW Forbidden Door. This was a big moment for all the ‘Swiss Superman’ fans. And Becky Lynch, clearly being one, tweeted her excitement on Twitter.

While the authorities at the top of WWE have heavily criticized this behavior in the past, seeing Lynch on Twitter it seems like things are changing. But it is yet to be seen if there will be any consequences that Lynch will face for her actions.

Is ‘The Man’s tweet a result of Vince McMahon stepping down?

Were Lynch’s actions the result of Mr. McMahon stepping down? As an outsider, that is the first assumption one might possibly have. But the argument could also be that big stars are allowed some liberty in this space. The Rock has made plenty of appearances outside of WWE and Charlotte Flair regularly goes out to her husband, Andrade El Idolo’s shows.

But on the other hand, a few wrestlers have expressed discontent with being treated poorly, because they had worked in a rival company or had family working there. A prime example of this is Kurt Angle.

Expressing his feelings about the company, he has told the company did not appreciate his comeback. His last match was at WrestleMania 35 with Baron Corbin, in which Angle ended his illustrious career with a loss.
