The latest Friday Night SmackDown before WrestleMania weekend aired live on April 1st from Dallas, Texas. Madcap Moss outlasted a star-studded ring to win Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Trophy, and Ricochet artfully defeated Los Lotharios in a Triple Threat match to retain the Intercontinental Championship. Moreover, WWE CEO Vince McMahon had an appearance on the latest SmackDown episode as well.

However, there were some interesting turn of events when Pat McAfee vs. Austin Theory brawl heated up. The WWE CEO & Chairman Vince McMahon himself came to stand up for Austin Theory and even threatened to fire Pat McAfee. Moreover, WrestleMania 38 will contain a match between McAfee and Theory.

Vince McMahon threatens to terminate Pat McAfee from WWE

The Show Of All Show, the greatest spectacle in professional wrestling, is kicking off tomorrow from Dallas, Texas. Many grudges and revenges need to be settled in the biggest annual event of WWE. Among the stupendous scheduled battles, football punter and pro wrestling commentator Pat McAfee will face off against Mr. McMahon’s young protégé Austin Theory.

On the Friday Night SmackDown, Austin Theory incited the feud by attacking Pat McAfee on the commentary box. Later, McAfee chased Theory to the backstage and kicked the chairman’s office door and McMahon came out defending Theory and threatened to fire McAfee.

McMahon said, “ Who the hell do you think you are? Do you want me to fire you? Do you want me to cancel your WrestleMania match?”. Further, Austin Theory beat Finn Balor and continued to agitate the former NFL player.

The Unproven One vs. Pat McAfee on this Sunday

In the beginning of last month, Vince McMahon appeared on the Pat McAfee show and offered him a WrestleMania match. However, the speculation was Mr. McMahon possibly fighting McAfee. Since then, Austin Theory was all riled up to fight McAfee, expressing his wish to back McMahon. It was predictable that the feud would develop into something bigger.

The SmackDown announcer was taunted by Theory in a previous SmackDown, last month. He interrupted McAfee on the commentary booth promising to beat McAfee to a pulp and slapped the headset right off his head. Also, it led to a brief physical action between the two.

Later, McAfee had to apologize in order to continue, but that was not a heart-felt one and the feud got only worse. Friday night, he almost got into the ring, but co-commentator Michael Cole stopped him.
