People in the wrestling industry deem Vince McMahon as the herald of booking a perfect wrestling show. But sometimes even the greatest booker and promoter can fail miserably at the most logical solutions. While in the Attitude Era and Ruthless Aggression era, McMahon has unmissable shows, but the PG era brought out the worst shows under his reign.

This continued until his shocking step down from the CEO and Chairman position in 2022. But his misfires didn’t stop until he was done with WWE and wrestling once and for all. One of these same Vince McMahon’s mistakes lacked the audience of an amazing moment at Royal Rumble 2022. But we could see something like that happening right at this moment in WWE.

Vince McMahon once restricted ‘Forbidden Door’ from happening at Royal Rumble 2022

While talking to GiveMeSport about the Forbidden Door entry for the Men’s Royal Rumble entrant, an insider Twitter account WrestleVotes revealed that “It was never on the table for it to be anybody from AEW. That I know for sure. They agreed to have Mickie James wearing the IMPACT title. So I know the idea was ‘if we do it in the women’s, shouldn’t we do it in the men’s?’

It continued on to say, “From what I understand, a list of four or five guys was presented, and Vince didn’t like any of them. So that’s where it ended. Vince doesn’t know every single wrestler outside of the WWE, so when this list was presented. There was nothing that jumped out at him. I’m not even quite sure he recognized the four or five or six guys that they said, ‘we can probably do this.’

Despite this, Mickie James, a former WWE Women’s Champion, crossed over from Impact! Wrestling while holding the Knockouts championship. This happened partly because of the disrespect that she was shown when WWE fired her during the COVID period. After that setback, she has amazingly revitalized her career in Impact! wrestling and continues to be a giant force in women’s wrestling.
