

On a recent episode of Something Else to Wrestle with Bruce Prichard, many details regarding Mike Tyson’s WWE appearance were disclosed. In addition, on the podcast, Conrad Thompson and Bruce Prichard revealed that Vince McMahon wanted to manage Mike Tyson.
Talking on the podcast, Conrad Thompson asked Bruce Prichard whether Vince McMahon wants to be Mike Tyson’s manager considering McMahon has promoted everything from the XFL to bodybuilding and including boxing Pay Per Views.

Responding to that, Prichard stated, “Absolutely. Vince was definitely interested in the Mike Tyson brand. And he was looking at possibly taking over the managerial reins of Mike Tyson. And being able to promote Mike Tyson and help Mike get his license back to be able to box once again.”
He added, “So Vince was looking into the future. He wanted to get Mike and show Mike what the WWE could do for him. What Vince McMahon could do for him, what Shane could do for him, but what the monster, what the machine could do for Mike Tyson. ”

He also mentioned that Iron Mike was crucial in promoting the game. Moreover, McMahon saw this as an opportunity to showcase to Tyson that if he can expand his brand in pro wrestling, he can establish his brand in Tyson’s realm as well.
How was Mike Tyson beneficial to WWE?
WWE is one of the most well-known pro wrestling companies. WWE’s marketing efforts helped it gain recognition all over the world. Nevertheless, the marketing and themes of it have astounded the globe. Additionally, one of McMahon’s marketing methods was to bring in a slew of celebrities.

Over the years, Vince McMahon had brought many superstars, like Muhammad Ali, Logan Paul, Shaquille O’Neal, Floyd Mayweather, Hugh Jackman, and others, to promote the company. And one of such was Tyson. In 1998, WWE invited Iron Mike at WrestleMania 14 as an enforcer of the main event match against Shawn Michaels vs Steve Austin.
Further, Tyson was at his peak and clearly, WWE wanted to use this as an opportunity to promote the company. However, this was not the only time WWE brought him to an event. In addition, the WWE Hall of Famer Tyson appeared to assault Chris Jericho.
