We rarely see WWE chairman and CEO Vince McMahon outside of his pro-wrestling ventures. However, he was recently spotted at one of the best comedy shows in the US.

The 75-year-old looked great as he attended Emmy-winning comedian Dave Chappelle’s show last night at the Premier Theater in Mashantucket, CT. Fellow comedian Donnell Rawlings uploaded a picture from backstage.

In the picture, Mr. McMahon is standing with Dave Chappelle. Apart from Donnell Rawlings, fans can also spot WWE CBO Stephanie McMahon in the background.

According to reports, WWE is searching for more comedy writers. Recently, they fired former MTV comedy writer Kenice Mobley. The latter alleged WWE hired her without any prior knowledge of pro-wrestling.

Vince McMahon is a huge fan of Dave Chappelle

According to reports, McMahon has been a big fan of Dave Chappelle. Former WWE Superstar and one-half of Cryme Tyme, JTG, revealed that Chappelle inspired McMahon into forming Cryme Tyme.

“When we first came out, the reasons that we were brought out was because Vince McMahon loved Dave Chappelle – Chappelle’s Show,” JTG told The Bump.

We were doing a lot of those types of skits [like Chappelle did]. We did those skits, and we had great chemistry on screen because we (him and Shad Gaspard) were friends.”

Vince McMahon has an active say in what happens on WWE programming. Every skit and performance is catered to his vision. In most of the shows, he is either at the Gorilla position or arranging meetings to tweak WWE programming.

In the Attitude Era and the Ruthless Aggression Era, McMahon was an integral part of WWE programming each week. But as he got older, McMahon refrained from appearing on stage. However, he still appears on TV on special occasions.
