Vince McMahon simple doesn’t care
However, Vince was being Vince during the interview. The SmackDown commentator asked Vince about what he thinks about all the people speaking behind his back or the people speaking ill of his ways.
Well, Mr. McMahon plainly admitted that he keeps himself away from the negatives. However, he also noted that he doesn’t waste his time convincing other people that he is a good person.
McMahon said that he cannot change perception, and never intends to do so. Eventually, Vince had a nice choice of words to express his feelings about it.
“I stay out of all of it. I’m not big on pats on the back. If you listen to the positives, you gotta listen to the negatives. I don’t like negatives at all. I try to stay away from the negatives as much as possible. People think you’re an a**hole. You can’t change perception. If people think I’m an a**hole, then congratulations, then I am an a**hole,” confessed Vince McMahon.

The WWE chairman also talked about the time when he faced criticism for launching WWE Network back in the day. Just like his philosophy, Vince told Pat that he didn’t care about all the people, he just did it for the business.
Eventually, the 76-year-old chairman also noted that whatever decision he has taken in his career is only because of the business. Surely, by saying this Vince indicated all the hate that he garnered for firing multiple wrestlers.
