WWE chairman, Vince McMahon took matters into his hands to revamp the entire landscape of NXT and change it to a more colorful, more versatile roster, and a bit edgier content called NXT 2.0.

In this week’s episode of NXT 2.0, the WWE Universe witnessed a bizarre altercation that turned into a romantic spot in the middle of the ring, seeing this takes the fans back to the iconic Attitude Era where such altercations happened on a weekly basis.

Former rugby player, Daniel Vidot, who goes by the name Xyon Quinn in WWE grabbed Elektra Lopez in a brief ‘romantic eye-contact’ segment while the crowd was still figuring it out.

WWE took to its Instagram and uploaded the video of the brief segment where we can see that Lopez is furious with Quinn and attempts to slap her; however, Quinn stopped Lopez in her tracks.

Quinn further spins Lopez and embraces her into his arms while the crowd is making the noise, the two wrestlers share a brief eye contact before splitting.

Can WWE NXT 2.0 be compared with the Attitude Era?

To sum up, the Attitude Era was a crazy time to be a wrestling fan and WWE was doing everything in their hands to make the content there so that more audiences turn up.

However, with this NXT 2.0, one thing which resembles a shade of the late 90s is the superstars in the roster. While there are cruiserweight wrestlers on the roster, but wrestlers with well-built physiques are prominent.

Looks like Vince McMahon is really willing to take extreme measures to bring control of the pro-wrestling business back to him and stop AEW in its track.
