WWE Universe was shocked when the company “swiftly let go,” Shane McMahon last month. At the Premium Live Event, Royal Rumble 2022, the company owner’s son got into a backstage dispute with the creative. Shane O’Mac reportedly tried to book himself as the last entrant for the men’s rumble match.

However, it was not enough, as Shane also tried to revolve himself around being the winner of the Royal Rumble. WWE creative and producers were disappointed by Shane McMahon’s morale. Finally, Vince McMahon was left with no choice but to let go off his son from the company.

Did WWE actually fired Shane McMahon?

In addition, Mike shared on his podcast what he heard backstage from the people he spoke to about Royal Rumble night. The referee thinks WWE is working the fans for surprises.

“I heard it was a complete s**t show, agents running around with their heads chopped off,” said Ex-WWE referee. “I know they’ve got some great minds back there, and you get some great minds, and they can come up and do some sneaky s**t. You don’t know what’s going to happen, did Shane really get fired? Is that a work or…? We’ll see, I just can’t believe it. It could very well be that he did get fired and just had it out with the old man,” Mike Chioda added.

It won’t be shocking for Mike Chioda if Shane O’Mac appears on AEW programming!

Mike continued to add and support the rumors and asked the listener to be surprised if they saw Shane McMahon in AEW. The veteran referee also thinks that Shane McMahon could be a vital asset to AEW in many ways.

“I’m not convinced all the way, but if it did happen, don’t be surprised if we see Shane pop up on AEW. Let’s put it this way, you got a million coming to you if you don’t do this in 90 days, but Tony Khan wants to pay him 3 million to show up; what do you do? Shane is a popular draw man; he shows up. Does he got some s**t left in the tank? Yes, he does,” the former WWE referee added.

But, only time will tell if Tony Khan is willing to bring his rival company owner’s son Shane McMahon to the AEW or not.
