WWE legend and Hall of Fame, The Undertaker, has been the company’s top superstar throughout his career. The Deadman has had the longest wrestling tenure at WWE. Over the course of his 30-year career, Undertaker impacted a number of wrestlers. In addition, The Great Khali is one such wrestler who was inspired by him.
The Great Khali is without any doubt one of the biggest names in WWE from India. Khali drew a lot of attention from Indian fans since his height and size astounded almost everyone. In a recent interview, The Great Khali opens up about how The Undertaker impacted his life.

On WWE Now India, The Great Khali stated, “I started wrestling after watching The Undertaker. He was my inspiration to get into the business. It was such a memorable moment for me (getting a win over The Undertaker). It was a challenging match for me, but it was equally momentous. It’s very close to my heart.” (H/T: ITN WWE)
The Great Khali was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2021, after a career that included victories against the Undertaker, John Cena, and Triple H. However, Khali made his debut in April 2006, when he attacked the Undertaker on behalf of Daivari during the Mark Henry and The Undertaker match.

Furthermore, for a while, they were involved in a fierce feud. The most memorable match between the two was on 2006 Judgment day. Where Khali won the bout by smashing The Deadman.
Moreover, in an interview he talked about his wrestling academy, Khali mentioned that he wanted to remove obstacles and limitations for other young Indians. As a result, he established his CWE academy.
The Great Khali Reveals Vince McMahon’s Instructions on His SmackDown Debut: “Kill The Undertaker”
During the interview, The Indian Giant Khali mentioned that he wasn’t aware that he will end up beating The Deadman in his debut appearance.

Khali stated that he had no idea who his opponent would be. All he knew was that he would be making his appearance soon. However, Vince McMahon eventually told Khali that he had to kill The Undertaker in his debut appearance.

During the conversation, Khali thanked both WWE and Vince McMahon for the incredible chance they had given him.
