Not a beast by default, but a beast by the will of Vince McMahon. The stance sits pretty well with Brock Lesnar. The former WWE World Champion might be widely known as a deadly monster around the globe, but he didn’t start his WWE run keeping his demonism into play. Rather, he had to be transformed into it and sold it over the years with the utmost passion and dedication. It will be more justified to say that Vince McMahon had a huge say in that.

AEW star Matt Hardy recently explained how the notorious WWE boss left no stone unturned to make Lesnar put on a villainous mask right from the beginning of his journey in WWE.

During his rookie days, a young Brock Lesnar squared off against Jeff Hardy on April 21, 2002, and ended up standing tall. During his feud with The Hardy Boyz, he was also on the receiving end of some brutal attacks. In an infamous Raw episode, he purposely took two dangerous chair shots to his head from them.

According to the 10-time tag team champion, it was Vince McMahon’s vision to make him look like an utter beast back then. McMahon wanted Lesnar to prove himself as a future monster heel. Lesnar agreed to that stance and asked the veterans to hit him hard during a backstage interaction before the segment started.

Recalling that unforgettable incident, the ex-WWE superstar noted, ‘‘Looking at it back then, it was a hell of a spot. Like it was very choreographed. A lot of times did come directly with the defense and were saying you guys come in… This guy’s a monster, said you know you guys with these chair shots and not smile in the ring, but he doesn’t blow this. That was Vince’s whole vision to really paint Brock like the monster.”

Despite enjoying his run as a heel for most of his career, Lesnar recently turned face at SummerSlam after his loss to Cody Rhodes.
