A few years ago, in an interview with Graham Bensinger, Jesse Ventura opened up about his relationship with Arnold Schwarzenegger. Bensinger asked Ventura about Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Ventura said, “Yeah! because I watched him turn down 14 million dollars. They came in and offered him Predator 2, right there before one even went out. And I was sitting right in there when he said no. And when they left, I looked at Arnold and said, ‘Arnold, how do you turn down 14 million dollars? I said I’ll do it for half.'”

The former governor of Minnesota continued, ” He looked at me, said, ‘Jesse the time is not right’ and he was correct. Look how long he made them wait for the second Terminator. He made it and made them wait 7 years. So, it was another mega-hit.”

Ventura poured in praises for Schwarzenegger and said, “See, Arnold is the most focused man because you gotta be that to win, Mr.Olympia. To be the best-built man in the world.” Ventura stated that, for being so, one cannot have any outside interference and must have consistent focus.

Arnold Schwarzenegger had signed a massive contract before Terminator 3

Without any big expectations, the first Terminator was released. However, the film won the heart of its fans and became a classic. Winning a fan’s heart meant profits for the business and the actor. The success of the first movie earned Schwarzenegger a massive contract of $15 million in 1991. The Terminator series and a few action movies made him an action film icon.

Years later, when Terminator 3 was in the making, Schwarzenegger this time signed a contract double what it was in its prequel. He signed a $30 million ‘play-or-pay’ deal, which meant the studio had to pay Schwarzenegger no matter what. According to A 2005 Slate feature, his contract was 33-pages long and comprised $29.25 million guaranteed money, a fully equipped gym trailer, private flights, personal bodyguards, and so forth. All these perks added to an already heavy contract and made Schwarzenegger surely happy.
