To put it in context, McMahon once spoke with Muscle and Fitness and revealed a number of things. During the conversation, he talked about the moment he defeated WWE legend, Mark Henry.
WWE fans are aware that Mark Henry is a difficult opponent to overcome due to the massive build that earned him the professional nickname, ‘The World’s Strongest Man.’ It’s interesting to note that McMahon trained him back then. While questioned about the incident, he explained that, given his age, he must have had some tricks up his sleeve. So when he arrived up and see WWE legend, he challenged him and it pumped him and Henry up and eager to start training.
How did Vince McMahon overpower Henry?
The Billionaire challenged him and afterward went to the locker room. He took advantage of the fact that Mark’s passion and energy had significantly decreased by the time he appeared. Notably, he made an effort to get an advantage there psychologically, which he was successful in doing.
As McMahon had trained him, he knows the fact that Mark is a bodybuilder lifter who only does one or two repetitions. So he took advantage of this. In his words, “I was very deferential to Mark in the first giant set we went through. But in the second one, he was green around the gills. That’s when I started saying, “The World’s Strongest Man is not doing too well at the moment.”
“By the end of the workout, I was all over him. Come on, Mark! I’m 60-something years old, and you’re the World’s Strongest Man!” Psychologically, I pretty much decimated him on that last giant set. I almost felt sorry for him, but he challenged me. That was a fun day for me. [H/T: M & M]”
