WWE has seen a fair share of legends, however, a few among them have made a mark in the industry. WWE Legends such as Stone Cold Steve Austin, The Undertaker, The Rock, Hulk Hogan, and John Cena are among such few legends.

Stars such as Hulk Hogan, The Rock, and John Cena were not even pro wrestlers before making it big in the WWE and came from various backgrounds. While Cena was a competitive bodybuilder, The Rock was a footballer, and Hulk Hogan was an upcoming musician.

A few months ago, John Cena participated in an interview with GQ, where he revealed his diet plan, his workout routine, and even what a typical day for him looks like. Speaking at the interview, Cena revealed his quality workout.

From a very young age, Cena started lifting weights. He even ventured into the world of competitive bodybuilding in his early 20s. However, he would soon shift gears and enter pro wrestling. Switching careers turned out to be extremely profitable for him.

Just a few months before Cena turned 45, he revealed in his interview about his workout. Cena said, “I would start with a 15-minute cardiovascular warmup, then probably an hour of physical weight training—which would be compound movements, Olympic weightlifting, and power movements.

Cena, then 44, further revealed how he still does the same exercises that he used to do. However, with much lighter weights. He also revealed how he does stretching and yoga because that helps him walk. Although now 45, Cena is still much fitter than many of his colleagues.

John Cena opens up about him practicing Yoga

In the same interview, the 16-times World Champion also discussed practicing yoga, and he got the hang of it. He revealed that he had done a movie with legendary actor Jackie Chan a few years ago. And it was there, he got into stretching.

Cena said, “I say yoga because that’s the closest, but it’s like a stretch routine”. He said that although the stretching made him lose a lot of his gains, it instead made him more flexible, and that experience changed his life.

The Leader of Cenation said, “In yoga, the concept is that you need to be present because we’re going to stretch you farther than you think you can go. If you’re afraid, then you’re tense. You need to be relaxed and present.” He stated that his routine helped him handle whatever life threw at him.
