Ever since its merger with UFC and transformation into TKO, WWE has seen several big changes. First, it started with laying off 100 employees from the wrestling promotion. Then, the company went on to fire performing talents in large numbers. The shocking sight that fans witnessed yesterday was the first since the global pandemic layoff.
Though it is assumed that Triple H, along with other heads, made this decision to earn more profit following the merger, it is not being received well by the employees left in the company.
The locker room is reportedly frustrated by Triple H

SmackDown was increasing its demand following the merger, which Fox was unable to fulfill. As a result, the deal had to end and WWE struck a new $1.4 Billion deal with USA Network. However, some stars in the locker room believe that this deal can’t be utilized well without proper talents.
During the mass release yesterday, the Stamford-based company even let go of great talents like Dolph Ziggler. This ultimately led to some frustration among the remaining members of the promotion.

According to FightfulSelect, “There was some frustration among members of the roster we spoke to that WWE announced a $1.4 Billion SmackDown deal and then cut talent.” They also reported that a star was visibly upset about the creative department not booking people for the future, ultimately leading them into a vicious circle that they couldn’t escape.

For now, the internal sentiments of the promotion seem to be hostile toward the mass release so far. And since Paul Levesque is the one heading the creative department, who didn’t give people a second chance by not booking them, some people on the roster might not favor him further.
