Unseen Backstage Footage Is a Proof of Vince McMahon’s Eye for Talent as He Seemed to Have Guessed Dominik Mysterio’s Success in WWE Long Time Back

Dominik Mysterio completed three years in WWE after his debut in 2020. From being the babyface guy to Prison Dom, the 26-year-old has been on quite a ride in WWE. His babyface character seemed to not impress a lot of fans. However, rare footage from his early days in the company shows Vince McMahon praising the young Mysterio. Clearly, the 77-year-old boss of WWE is impressed with Dom.

The former SmackDown Tag Team Champion is on his way toward success today, after storyline separation from his father in 2022. However, footage from Dom’s early days in WWE shows McMahon was very happy with him.

Vince McMahon praises Dominik Mysterio in his iconic style

While McMahon was the captain of the ship, i.e. looked after the creative and booking, the superstars got his first-hand reaction in the gorilla position. Similarly, in this footage shared by a fan on Twitter, we can see McMahon being happy with Mysterio’s performance during his early days in the promotion.

The fan wrote the caption in a way to highlight McMahon knew Dom’s future in WWE. The tweet was, “Even Vince knew about Dominik Mysterio’s crowd reactions when he FIRST STARTED wrestling.”

In the video, Mr. McMahon said, “Congratulations. Very few people can get that kind of reaction whenever they are in the ring, no matter how long they have been in the business. So you should be very very proud of yourself.”

‘Vinnie-Mac’ praises his WWE superstars when highly impressed with them. He stands up from his chair, takes off his headset, and praises the stars by shaking hands and hugging them.

Similarly, in this rare footage, McMahon did the same for Dominik. This is proof that the 26-year-old has impressed the right people in WWE, which includes the Senior Vice President of Live Events “Road Dogg” Jesse James too. Clearly, this heel run has surprised everyone. But it helped to reach a whole new level.

A few weeks back the 2023 WWE Hall of Famer Rey Mysterio appeared on Impaulsive podcast. The host Logan Paul asked him thoughts on Dominik’s current work on WWE as part of The Judgement Day.

The Maverick called a “sweet boy” who he wrestled at WrestleMania 38 and now he is something else. However, The Master of 619 also shared being shocked to see his son in this heel run. Mysterio claimed after watching his son for 23 years as a sweet boy, he was confused about where Dom learned these things he is doing now.
