If we talk about the most loathed WWE heels in the current landscape of wrestling, the Judgment Day is bound to emerge as the most eligible candidate. More specifically, Dirty Dom has propelled himself to another level when it comes to his portrayal of a bad guy.

But all his epic villainous antics started to pick up steam when his growing rivalry with the elder Mysterio led him to join Judgement Day at Clash of the Castle, betraying his dad. And the rest is history. But do you know what the main motivation is behind DomDom going against his own biological father?

Turning on his father gave Mysterio the much-needed jerk to bring out his darker, meaner side. After an utterly emotional and intense father-and-son feud, Rey Mysterio couldn’t put up with more. And he taught his son a tough lesson at the WrestleMania 39 stage. But how did all of it start in the first place?

It’s pretty easy and obvious to assume Rhea Ripley dons the role of the main culprit here, given how she assisted the 26-year-old in all the family disputes.

That said, it’s not completely true. According to the Judgment Day member, the real reason comprises something else.

During a recent interview, Dom Dom mentioned that he was done with being under his dad’s guiding light. He desperately wanted to move out from his father’s shadows. It was his plea to be in close association with the Judgement Day stars, including Finn Balor, Rhea Ripley, and Damian Priest. He found out for himself that he shared a connection with the aforementioned names.

However, moving ahead, if you think the bad blood between the father doesn’t exist anymore, you might have made a mistake. Because the rivalry might be at rest but not finished.

WWE might rekindle the epic father-son rivalry

The amount of hatred Mysterio has for his father shone through almost every weekly show in its heyday. Be it teaming up with the people who betrayed Rey Mysterio or making a miniature cartoon of the Luchador, Dominik Mysterio continues to be a wicked son.

To talk about the most recent tease of the potential rekindling of the historic feud, it came at Raw last week.

We spotted Dirty Dom aiming toward Rey Mysterio’s miniature action figure with a sign. The sign said, “I’m a deadbeat dad.”
