LA Knight is among the best-known stars in the WWE today. With fans chanting his iconic “Yeah!” to the pop when his music hits, he is quite over with the WWE Universe. Despite the fame and love, one thing has eluded the Megastar in the WWE: a title belt. Knight did face Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship but could not pick up the win. The recent episode of SmackDown saw Knight miss out on a possible title shot.

This would be the second time Knight missed out on gold since losing to Reigns at Crown Jewel 2023.

This episode of SmackDown had Logan Paul announce the next challenger for his United States Championship. It would decided via an 8-man tournament starting next episode. Eight men will compete to see who will face Paul for the title.

However, Knight was not part of the tournament. This could come as a big shock to the WWE Universe as the Megastar was thought to be in line for a mid-card title shot. With the momentum Knight has been showcasing, it is surprising that he does not have a title shot at the US title.

Potential future storyline regarding Knight

With the new development on SmackDown regarding Orton signing with the blue brand, fans have a new theory. Fans believe that in his pursuit of getting revenge on The Bloodline, Orton could seek Knight’s help. The two would then team up in an effort to stop Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

It was Jimmy and Jey Uso who injured Orton during their Tag Team match for the titles. This resulted in Orton missing 18 months of action due to his double fusion neck surgery. With Orton being back in perfect health, this is the best time to go after The Bloodline.
