Cody Rhodes is currently one of the top wrestlers in the company. A few days ago, Rhodes showcased his resilience by fighting in a Hell in a Cell match against Seth Rollins carrying a torn Pec. As he removed his jacket before the match, the bruises on his chest shocked the WWE Universe.
Although being in immense pain, he was able to defeat Rollins for the third time in a PPV bout. Additionally, on Friday Night SmackDown, WWE announced the unfortunate news regarding Rhodes’ injury.

Many fans initially assumed it was makeup, Pat McAfee confirmed on his show that Rhodes had a genuine injury and he tore his pectoral muscle while prepping for his PPV fight.
Additionally, now WWE gave an injury update on Twitter, stating that on Thursday, Dr. Jeffrey Dugas successfully conducted surgery on Rhodes’ pectoral muscle. In addition, The American Nightmare will have a lengthy recovery period and will not be ready to compete for at least nine months.

In case you missed it, Brandi Rhodes posted an update on Twitter following his surgery, stating, “The doctor just repaired Cody’s pectoral tendon, which was torn completely off the bone. Successful surgery.”
Many fans were understandably unhappy after hearing the news since they had hoped to see him at SummerSlam. As per the reports, he will be out of action till early 2023. However, it will be interesting to see who he faces following his return.

The American Nightmare will be out of action till early 2023 because of his injuries. Additionally, it appears that he will be prepared to make his return to the biggest platform of WWE WrestleMania.
