The well-known Hardy Boyz might not perform together now, but they still vouch for each other. The tag team companionship of these real brothers was one of the greatest in wrestling history. However, a massive halt came in the wrestling career of Jeff Hardy in December 2021. He was released from WWE after the Texas house show. Soon after that, he joined AEW, where he didn’t receive much success. Incidentally, he has been on hiatus since his DUI arrest earlier this year.

A pause like this can do a lot to a person. But there are fans who always wish the best for their icons. They also want to get updated and so Matt Hardy came up with the update that many were looking for.
Matt Hardy gave an update on Jeff Hardy
As many would know, Jeff Hardy’s hiatus from AEW has been on a great stretch. No one was aware of any update during this time. However, Matt Hardy’s statements would shed some light on it and make things more clearly.
Jeff was arrested in June 2022 for his alcoholism. Soon enough, AEW suspended him. They also attached some conditions for his return. The terms were that the 45-year-old wrestler should undergo substance abuse treatment. Once he is all sober and can be termed clean, then only he can return.

After this incident, no one has heard much from the Hardys. However, in an “Ask Matt Anything” edition of The Extreme Life of Matt Hardy, he talked about his brother’s status and health recovery.
Matt said, “[Jeff] is doing the same thing he’s been doing. He’s doing exactly what he needs to be doing to get to where he needs to be in life. More or less, we’ve just got to get these legal issues behind him before we move forward. That’s where we are at with Jeff, and we are hoping that happens sooner rather than later.”

His stated words reflect all the trouble they are going through. However, as per Matt, his brother is in a position that he should be in. Things take time to come along and he hopes everything gets back on track soon.
The Legen Thriller’s speedy health recovery
While talking about his brother, Matt also reflected on his health conditions. He said Jeff was currently in a good place and added that it was refreshing for him to see his brother in good shape. This recovery has been more personal than professional. He must have had to go through severe challenges to shape himself.
