The Undertaker stepped in for Michelle McCool in WWE
While The Undertaker and Michelle McCool were dating, one ‘The Deadman’ had stepped in to talk to Vince McMahon, regarding a storyline McCool wasn’t comfortable doing. Recently, former WWE writer Freddie Prinze Jr. on his podcast Wrestling with Freddie revealed about this incident.
There was a storyline where Freddie Prinze Jr. had written about McCool losing her Divas Title at Royal Rumble 2009. Nevertheless, Prinze called it his worst mistake in WWE. It made McCool sad, as there were plans to take her out from the title picture after that. Former WWE superstar Ezekiel Jackson told him about The Deadman talking with Vince McMahon.
Prinze said, “He goes well, Michelle said that you and her talk and she didn’t really like the story, so it’s gone. I said, was I supposed to ask this to her, I first say it was, I supposed to ask her like’. All this he goes for it she talked to Undertaker and Undertaker talk to Vince the stories go.”
As said by Freddie Prinze Jr. in this podcast during the years 2008 to 2010, the women’s division was ‘Divas division’ and didn’t get the significance it deserved in the mainstream in comparison to the present days. That is the reason Prinze booked McCool to drop the title completely, remove her from the title picture for the time being.
