The Undertaker has made his retirement more official than ever, by thanking the fans on his Twitter handle. Earlier today, he uploaded a post with just the words – “#thankyou”.
“The Deadman” ended his documentary ‘The Last Ride’ by declaring that he won’t re-enter the ring for a final match and that his days in WWE were behind him.

Since this decision aired, millions of fans worldwide have been celebrating the long and decorated career of “The Phenom”.
Many fans expected him to return for one final showdown to end his career. However, Taker has decided that he doesn’t have it in him to perform to the expectations of the fans.
Bringing it up time and again in his documentary, Taker has revealed that he now throws not only his body but also his life into the gamble.
He realized this after his match against Goldberg when the latter dropped him on his head, nearly breaking his neck. He understands that should anything happen to him, his wife and children would suffer immensely.
While a lot of fans may be disappointed that they will never get to see the dream Sting Vs The Undertaker match, they will have to get used to a WWE and Wrestlemania without “The Phenom” and his iconic entrances.
Taker did mention that if Vince McMahon gives him the call, he would consider it. Unfortunately, it is highly unlikely that he will ever step into the ring again.
Fans wanted to see The Undertaker one last time
The biggest reason why fans are gutted about Taker not fighting a final match is that they never got to see him for what would now be his final match.
This one was the highly acclaimed Boneyard Match against AJ Styles that was shot in cinematic style. The Undertaker is comfortable with ending his career on that note, in which he looked as dominant as ever.

The fans, however, did not get to see Taker because of the pandemic. This put hold on a lot of plans.
The journey of over thirty years has finally ended for The Undertaker. Even though his Twitter post is captioned with just two words in the form of a hashtag, it goes a long way in meaning.
