Uncle Howdy has been hyped for WWE television for a long time, and it appears the character may be at risk. This persona was initially shown with the Late Bray Wyatt, and there has been no news about it since the unfortunate passing of the Former World Champion until a few weeks ago when random QR appeared on WWE TV shows.

Eric Bishoff on his YouTube channel had an episode of the podcast Who Killed WCW? There he talked about how Uncle Howdy is a powerful move from WWE’s perspective. This gimmick can either be as big as it can get because of its potential or it will totally get flopped because of the story behind it. This is a very risky move from WWE as after the passing of Bray Wyatt it will be difficult for them to form Wyatt6.

Did WWE cornered themselves by booking Uncle Howdy’s return?
So far WWE has done a wonderful job of marketing the gimmick thus far. Eric Bischoff admitted it has got him enthusiastic about this figure. Until this character returns to television, there will be a significant question as to how well it will do. The excitement for it is already so strong that concerns have begun to surface.
Eric Bischoff stated, “I have no idea, but hats off to WWE for having the balls to try it because it’s a high-risk maneuver. If there’s such thing as a high-risk maneuver in booking, this is a high-risk maneuver of all high-risk maneuvers. And I say that because if I say that because if it comes together and it works, it can be massive. But if it doesn’t come off, if it doesn’t register, the letdown is gonna be huge”, understanding the risk of the character.

He continued, “Nothing really really great happens when you’re comfortable and you’re doing the same things that you’ve been doing because you know that they’re pretty good it’s working. This has the potential of being really, really big, and it has the potential of being really, really not. I’m excited about it.”
