Wyatt Sicks members Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis finally unmasked themselves on Monday Night Raw. The trio arrived to attack the Creed brothers, Julius and Brutus, after their match against Alpha Academy. For this time, the Wyatt Sicks trio appeared after the Creed brothers’ match with Alpha Academy to interrupt Chad Gable’s possible attack on Maxxine Dupri. The three unmasked themselves in the apron, revealing themselves to be Erick Rowan, Joe Gacy, and Dexter Lumis.
Sister Abigail attacked their opponents from behind with a crossbody from the corner on Gable. A few minutes later, when Gable miraculously managed to escape and abandon the Creeds in the ring, Uncle Howdy appeared down the ramp. Thus forcing the former Alpha Academy leader to flee in terror elsewhere. Faced with this new attack, Chad Gable asked Adam Pearce for a match against Lumis, Rowan, and Gacy for next week, and the Raw GM granted it but warned him: “Be careful what you wish for.” But this segment was preceded by a new VHS film starring Dexter Lumis.
The VHS tapes have been an interesting part of this faction. Since each tape slowly removes a layer of mystique from the feature members and helps us understand their psyche and beliefs. This week, it was Dexter Lumis who appeared on the tape, and surely it was an interesting one. The tape had Uncle Howdy’s distorted voice expressing several mysterious quotes, such as, “They built their empire next to the sea and laughed as they watched you drown. But there’s freedom in sinking. Look at what you’ve become.” Surely talking about how the sinking allowed Lumis to get this new character would be a more successful gimmick than his last.

But what caught the most attention was surely the part that connected the faction to the late Bray Wyatt again. Near the end of the VHS tape, Lumis finally speaks one word, a word as iconic as it could be: “Run.” For the new WWE fans, “Run” was an iconic word used by the late Bray Wyatt. Most notably used during his run as the ‘Eater of Worlds.’

However, this wasn’t the only part that connected Lumis to Bray Wyatt. During the Wyatt Sicks’ attack on Chad Gable and the Creed Brothers, Joe Gacy, and Lumis use the same bodyslam as the one once used by the creator of the Wyatt Universe. In fact, even Rowan borrowed the moves of his late faction member as he attacked the Creed Brothers as well. Surely the Wyatt Sicks are looking like a faction that will be able to get all the fans’ attention. However, one legendary figure from the pro wrestling universe thinks otherwise.

Jim Ross does not seem to have been impressed by them. The AEW commentator, but for years, the voice of WWE in his podcast revealed how the absence of Bray Wyatt is too big a gap for the Wyatt Sicks to fill. He said, “I saw highlights of it; I did. I think it’s gonna be challenging to make it work. Bray Wyatt cast a massive shadow, and he was amazingly talented. The new group doesn’t have anybody that, to me, and I don’t mean to be course, but Bray Wyatt can’t be replaced. So the more that WWE can make this new group different, the better off they’ll be.”

He further added, “But to try to emulate and to replicate step-by-step, it’s gonna be really challenging. That’s like saying, ‘We’ll get another bald guy with a goatee that can do. stunner, and he’ll be [Steve] Austin.’ Well, it don’t work that way. It just does not work that way. So look, I’m all for those guys being successful and going well. It’s all about the business and guys getting an opportunity to provide better for their families, which I’m all for. But I think it’s gonna be challenging.”
Whatever it may be, fans can be seen enjoying and chanting “Holy Sh*t” when the faction attacks Gable and his new team. By now, it is clear to everyone: the group led by Uncle Howdy is targeting the former Alpha Academy coach. Who is guilty of having turned his back on his old disciples. And in the following weeks, the mind games of Bo Dallas and his alter ego will become more and more disturbing. So, are you excited to see the faction? Let us know in the comments.
