Stone Cold Steve Austin recently confirmed his WWE return at WrestleMania 38. He accepted Kevin Owens’ invitation to be a guest on the Kevin Owens show at WrestleMania 38.

After all the disrespect Kevin Owens has shown towards Texas recently, Austin is expected to get involved in a confrontation with Owens. Fans can certainly expect one or two stunners from the Texas Rattlesnake. But it is also reported it might be more than just a stunner.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Stone Cold Steve Austin is having cardio training in order to prepare himself for a fight sequence at WrestleMania.

“It is being billed as the Kevin Owens talk show with Austin as guest on the Saturday show on 4/2. It is planned for more than just a stunner, although the stunner would appear to be the obvious conclusion. What we do know is that Austin has been upping his cardio, so the plan is for a fight scene, and not just a quick stunner.” (H/T: Ringside News)

Earlier, there were even rumors about Austin competing against Owens in a match at WrestleMania 38. That might not be the case anymore. But we can certainly expect some action in Dallas, Texas involving Kevin Owens and Stone Cold Steve Austin.

When did Stone Cold Steve Austin announce his retirement?

Steve Austin is regarded as one of the all-time greats in WWE. He competed against top WWE stars and produced several memorable moments. Thus, Austin is a WWE legend and will always have a place in the hearts of WWE fans.

But unfortunately, his in-ring career ended in 2003. After suffering from several severe injuries, Austin stepped away from competing inside the squared circle. In his last match, he competed against Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson at WrestleMania XIX.

Following his retirement from in-ring action, he continued making sporadic appearances in WWE. Though Austin delivered stunners to several individuals during those appearances, the Texas Rattlesnake never competed in a match again.
