WWE Superstar Ronda Rousey surprised many people when she made the jump from MMA to pro wrestling. Although she has had tremendous success in her WWE career, one of the biggest female MMA stars believes Rousey should not have left UFC.
Rousey suffered her first defeat in UFC after Holly Holm beat her for the Bantamweight Championship in 2015. ‘The Rowdy One’ returned after a year to face new champion Amanda Nunes but again came up short.

Cyborg thinks Ronda Rousey had a lot to prove after her defeats
Cris Cyborg, the current Bellator women’s featherweight champion, feels that Rousey had unfinished business in the octagon.
In an interview with InsideFighting, Cyborg shared her opinion on Rousey’s time in UFC.
She said, “I wish the best for Ronda. She did great [things] for MMA. I think it’s sad when you lose and you stop fighting and you go to WWE, I think you have to show your fans that even if you lose, you can come back and overcome your struggle. I believe maybe [if] she’s coming back, it would be great for history.”
Cyborg had a stint in the UFC when Rousey was champion. Fans wanted to see the two square off against each other, but the match never happened.
She discussed the possibility of a fight with ‘The Baddest Woman on the Planet’ if she ever returned to MMA.
The Bellator champion said, “I think she said she would maybe go back to fight Gina Carano. I don’t think [a fight between us] is ever going to happen. In my mind, the time it was supposed to happen, she didn’t want it.”

It seems Cyborg isn’t too hopeful for a match between her and the former UFC Champion, though she still wants her to return to the octagon one more time.
Although the former WWE SmackDown Women’s champion Rousey seems content with her pro wrestling adventure, she expressed a desire to have a match with one of the pioneers of women’s MMA, Gina Carano. Rousey revealed Carano is the person who influenced her fighting career and wanted to share the octagon with her.
Will the UFC Hall of Famer return for one more match before it’s all said and done? We will have to wait and watch.
