Brock Lesnar came into WWE after winning the NCAA Division I national championship in 2000. He had a great amateur wrestling background, which helped him to quickly grasp professional wrestling quickly.
Similarly, before The Beast made it in WWE, Olympic gold medalist Kurt Angle had already done that transition from an amateur wrestler to a professional wrestler. Once Lesnar talked about Angle, making it easy for him to enter pro-wrestling.

In a resurfaced YouTube clip from a Brock Lesnar interview, The Conqueror praised Kurt Angle. He stated that ‘King Kurt’ paved the way for other amateur wrestlers to transition into professional wrestlers.
The Beast said, “It’s that old analogy you know, it’s like jumping on the bandwagon. What could they say, what can I say now? Of course, they’re going to say horrible things. I’m glad Kurt went and did what he did and has gotten to where he has gotten because it made easy on us amateur guys a heck lot easier to follow in his footsteps.”
Lesnar added, “But they can’t say enough about stepping it in and a year and a half to being a WWF Champion. I’m very happy for Kurt and I think that great that somebody that knows the amateur people and the way of life, the amateur life and can become a WWE Champion I think it’s great.”

Lesnar is true about the ‘Wrestling Machine’. Angle joined WWE and, to a surprise, he quickly grasped the nature of the business at the time. He was athletic in the ring and had great mic skills which are praised by The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin too.
Brock Lesnar claimed people support Kurt Angle because of his success
The American Hero had a great professional wrestling career not only in WWE but in IMPACT Wrestling, aka TNA and NJPW too. He changed himself as per the era of the sport, but had the same in-ring capabilities.

However, the former UFC fighter thought people would not have supported Angle if he failed a pro wrestling career. Lesnar said, “But as far as people are talking about it now, of course now they’re not going to know. I mean, he’s become successful at it. They definitely were going to turn their backs on him if he wasn’t successful at just the way people are. I think it’s great. I’m happy for Kurt.”
