We can say that UFC Hall of Famer Ronda Rousey has achieved most of the things she had wished for in her life. However, outside the ring or octagon, The Rowdy One is a gem of a person and many of her fans will agree the same.

However, very few people are aware, but Rousey is a major philanthropist. Once Rousey’s mother, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars, shared multiple stories about the same.

Years ago in 2013, ahead of her daughter Ronda Rousey’s UFC debut, Dr. AnnMaria De Mars gave an interview to SBNation’s Bloody Elbow. She shed a light on how donation and charity much The Baddest Woman on the Planet does secretly that nobody knows.

De Mars, “She does so many charities, I can’t even keep track of them. I’ll tell you the ones I can remember. The one that takes the most time is Free Rice. Up to this point, she’s raised 76 million grains of rice, which feed something like 22,000 people. Ronda’s also doing a clinic after her fight on March 9th, where all the proceeds will go to the Didi Hirsch Mental Health Clinic.”

She added, “She’ll also match with a $5000 donation of her own. She’s auctioning off fight gear that she’s used to donate that money to the clinic and various other charities, too. We gathered up a van full of clothes for MMA For The Homeless. People don’t know that about her, and it’s not something a PR agent or publicist sets up. It’s all her idea.”

Clearly, not many people are aware of this side of Ronda Rousey. Even though the former UFC fighter documents most parts of her life on her YouTube channel, she has shared no information about her charities and donations.

This interview is from 2013, where De Mars talks about Rousey doing so much even before becoming a mega star. We can imagine Rousey has done more major donations after becoming a mainstream success as the current WWE star does not disclose it.
