Former Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn immediately likened McGregor’s agonising leg break to Sid Vicious’ injury. Though he put it in the cheekiest way possible, one can safely assume the tone would upset Conor. Renee Paquette targeted McGregor’s trash talk, saying he lost the fight but still continued disrespecting Poirier’s wife.

WWE legend the Hurricane, Shane Helms had a cheeky response to Conor’s post fight comments. Despite being bested clearly, McGregor continued to disrespect Poirier and his wife. Helms claimed McGregor understood the value of promo time, another pro in the ‘Conor McGregor to WWE’ petition sheet.

McGregor’s antics utterly disgusted WWE legend Mick Foley. He likened Conor to an internet troll and his deeds did not reflect those of a champion.

AEW superstars throw in their two cents

Former AEW World Champion Chris Jericho had a clear winner in his mind. Poirier’s victory must’ve brought a smile on Le Champion’s face, although Conor’s trash talk impressed him slightly. Jericho had some praise for Stephen Thompson after his walkout impressed the former World Champion.

The Dark Order’s John Silver was disappointed with the outcome of the fight, but it’s fair to say he’s one out of probably a hundred thousand who weren’t pleased with McGregor stumbling to the mat after shattering his foot. He even claimed he wants to see Conor face Nate Diaz when he recovers and returns to the UFC.
