There have been many athletes who have dominated combat sports throughout history. In terms of dominating various sports, Brock Lesnar is far and away the best. After his first run at the biggest pro wrestling company, The Beast Incarnate had a significant stint in the UFC. Talking about the same, Lesnar once recounted the intriguing backstory of how he joined UFC while revealing that Dana White didn’t answer his phone at first.

Lesnar is not just the biggest name in WWE but also he was the top figure in the UFC. However, his entrance into the world’s top MMA promotion was stifled since the UFC’s president simply ducked his phone calls.

The Beast Incarnate discussed his career and his transition from the WWE to other sports in an interview with ESPN. Lesnar said that his desire to compete again caused him to be unhappy when he first left the organization.

He then departed for the NFL, but sadly, it didn’t work out. Then he proceeded to New Japan Pro Wrestling, where he won the championship, before moving on to the MMA scene and joining the UFC. But getting into the UFC was difficult since the UFC president didn’t respond to his calls.

In his words, “Then I decided I want to be in the UFC and Dana White wouldn’t take my phone calls. — So I won my first MMA fight, Dana White won’t take my phone calls from my lawyers and manager.” Notably, after that, Lesnar had done a bizarre thing to enter the promotion.

What did Brock Lesnar do after Dana White ducked his phone calls?

In the same interview, he said that after being shunned repeatedly; he went straight to a UFC bout and met White in an odd way.

He stated, “Randy Couture was fighting Gabriel Gonzaga for the heavyweight title. And I said we’ll buy a ticket and we’ll go to the show. And I bought a ticket and sat in the stands watch the whole show”.

“At the end of the show, I jumped to the guardrail and escaped a few security guards, ran up and tapped Dana White on the shoulder and introduced myself and that’s where the ball got rolling.”

After crossing the guardrail and putting security aside, he eventually met the UFC president, despite being snubbed. And when he joined, he quickly took control and rose to become one of the company’s top PPV sellers. Meanwhile, he has been absent from the UFC since 2016 and is now signed with WWE.
