Legendary UFC fighter Conor McGregor has cemented his legacy in the world of mixed martial arts. He is the first simultaneous multi-divisional champion in UFC history, holding the Featherweight and Lightweight Championships at the same time.
However, outside the Octagon, ‘The Notorious One’ has often found himself in various controversies with other athletes and stars. Most notably, his disputes with WWE superstars can never be forgotten.

Recently, WWE superstar Dolph Ziggler held a QnA session on Twitter. There were multiple questions asked by the fans. However, host Sarah O’Connell had an interesting question to ask. She asked which celebrity Ziggler would like to have a singles match in WWE.
The former two-time World Heavyweight Champion was quick to respond. He showed interest in facing UFC Fighter Conor McGregor at WrestleMania. Moreover, The Showoff wants to defeat The Notorious at the grandest stage.

Ziggler wrote, “it wouldn’t be on points”. The match would be under pro wrestling rules and not the MMA points system. The ‘Heel’ is firm that he can defeat McGregor in the squared circle in a pro wrestling match.
There are multiple times WWE has hinted at signing McGregor. Also, after the major social media arguments with WWE Superstars, many thought the Irishman would show up in WWE. However, that is yet to come to fruition.

The year 2016 saw UFC and WWE between a thin line. While Ronda Rousey was planning her WWE debut, Brock Lesnar had made a UFC return at UFC 200 and CM Punk was also about to make his UFC debut.

The Notorious One, while promoting his rematch with Nate Diaz in 2016, took a shot at WWE. In the press conference, he called WWE stars “messed up pu**ies”. Moreover, he shared an apology tweet, in which he took another shot at WWE and professional wrestling.

These comments from the UFC star didn’t go well with the WWE superstars. Moreover, many current and former WWE stars shared their disappointment on Twitter. WWE stars like Ric Flair, Roman Reigns, Kurt Angle, Becky Lynch, and many other popular stars replied to McGregor on Twitter.

As per the reports, he was scouting UFC talents for WWE. At the time, WWE was looking out for MMA fighters who wanted to transition into professional wrestling.
