Matt Riddle and Seth Rollins would go one on one at Extreme Rules 2022, in a Fight Pit match. The duo produced a classic during their encounter at Clash at the Castle, and the Fight Pit was also one of the most highly expected matches of all time, because of another major fact.

Daniel Cormier has a history with WWE, although not directly. Cormier, during his time in UFC, once challenged one of the top stars in WWE. However, the wrestling star was serving in the UFC as a major star there, back then.

During UFC 226, Cormier took the stage and called The Beast Incarnate out. Cormier took the mic and said, “Hey! Listen to DC. There is a guy that I know for a long time, he’s a wrestler, he’s an all-American, and he is a former UFC Champion. I never thought I would fight him, but Brock Lesnar, get your a** in here.” Lesnar then emerged from the crowd and entered the octagon and pushed Cormier away.

The duo were about to start a brawl but were controlled by the security and Joe Rogan. Cormier then said, “Yeah, you are strong, but everybody is strong. Push me now, you’re gonna sleep later.” The emergence of Cormier into WWE now has led to speculations about whether it is just the start to the buildup of the match between Lesnar and Cormier.

Cormier’s sudden entrance into the WWE came as a surprise, and fans started speculating about him going against Lesnar. Crown Jewel is just around the corner, and no match has been finalized for Lesnar yet. Although Lesnar is advertised for Royal Rumble 2023, the event is quite far away. Cormier called Lesnar out in 2018, however, the match did not take place but now after a long time, Cormier’s dream might come true.

Meltzer reported that Daniel Cormier will never go full-time in WWE, but there is a high possibility of him competing at WrestleMania, and that too against Brock Lesnar. He stated that Cormier is a big wrestling fan, and him facing off somebody in the squared circle is not improbable. Daniel Cormier has an impressive record of 22-3 in UFC while Lesnar has, 5-3. If any day they go against each other, no doubt, it will be exhilarating to see.
