Brock Lesnar is a decorated superstar who has had massive careers in both UFC and WWE. Often times we have seen UFC stars crossover to make a name in pro wrestling like Ronda Rousey. Or wrestlers who want to experience the real thing like CM Punk. But someone of the caliber of Brock Lesnar is pretty rare.

We all know about Lesnar leaving WWE at his peak wrestling career and joining UFC after a failed attempt at the NFL. But the complications with WWE and the lawsuit weighed down on Brock, who ventured out of WWE for the first time. So it comes as an immense surprise that Brock Lesnar would be the one to call his first run with UFC a ‘fake.’

Brock Lesnar opens about his first run with UFC

In a sitdown with Paul Heyman on his YouTube channel, HeymanHustle Brock Lesnar revealed, “When I left the UFC, I didn’t get to leave on my terms. I’m not saying I’m coming back to end something that I didn’t get to finish on my terms. I want to be inside the Octagon again. I want to be inside the Octagon healthy, and I want to be inside the Octagon under my terms. When I was inside the Octagon in my last few fights, I believe I wasn’t the man that I needed to be.

I was faking it, I was faking it just to be in there, I was faking it that a disease was more powerful than me. I was faking it that I was more powerful than it. So, I want to go back into the Octagon and I want to have fun. The last memories of me as an ultimate fighter aren’t very good ones. Because of the discomfort and the pain and the unhealthiness of it.

His career after his first leave from UFC would not be anything similar to his debut with WWE or an unhealthy relationship with UFC. Reinventing his character and becoming the richest commodity that either WWE or UFC contracted, Brock Lesnar was truly a beast.
