The forthcoming PLE of Royal Rumble has all it takes to kick up a storm at the Tropicana Field. The cherry on top will be the fatal four-way clash between, Roman Reigns, Randy Orton, AJ Styles, and LA Knight, which will be one of the prime centers of focus at the event.

While there can be a plethora of speculations, many believe that this might not be the right match for LA Knight to stand triumphant. Further, the Stamford-based promotion might also agree on this, and could plan something different for the ‘Megastar’. But what could be the strategy of the WWE? Why will Knight receive a setback in the Rumble?

WWE might have some other plans for LA Knight

The fact is not hidden: fans still love the charm of LA Knight. His speechcraft and prowess behind the mic have acted as the trump card in his success. Maybe that is why WWE didn’t think much and groomed the former Impact World Champion and even gave him a title shot against Reigns at Crown Jewel. He has continued his form and will fight for the undisputed title for the second time.

WWE, however, could still create a lengthy trail for the LA Knight. For that, he might not win the Universal title right away at the Royal Rumble. He first has to win the United States championship from Logan Paul, possibly at WrestleMania. Traditionally, WWE could create a storyline for Knight and his transition from being a secondary champion to standing as the major champion with the undisputed title.

This could be a huge step for the WWE, as it will keep the fans hooked on the LA Knight storyline, just like Gunther’s and Cody Rhodes’ kayfabe. But this is not the only reason for the prospective loss of Knight.

Nobody can ditch Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes right now

Dwayne Johnson and Cody Rhodes are massive roadblocks for LA Knight. It has nearly been two weeks since Dwayne Johnson made his shocking return to the WWE. Following his statements, he threw a not-so-subtle challenge at Roman Reigns for a prospective feud. However, it is not certain when this fight will take place.

Also, one should not forget the inclusion of Cody Rhodes. He is still the guy to end Roman Reigns’ story at WrestleMania. All in all, Reigns will either face Rhodes or The Rock at WrestleMania, which wouldn’t be possible without the WWE title. And so, there are thin chances for LA Knight to win the golden strap at the Royal Rumble, considering the circumstances.
