Judgment Day is fairly picky when it comes to choosing members. The faction seems to only accept the talent who have the potential to be the ‘bad’ ones in the promotion. However, they have been ignoring a potential candidate who tries hard to fit in with the heel faction. If you haven’t guessed by now, we are talking about JD McDonagh, whose Judgment Day debut could be just around the corner.
The Irish wrestler has been trying hard to get accepted into Rhea Ripley‘s promotion. The team has even discussed his inclusion in their conversations. Despite all this, McDonagh’s efforts seem relatively one-sided. Perhaps things are about to take a U-turn for him.
Will Rhea Ripley accept JD McDonagh into the promotion soon?

As the unannounced leader of the heel faction, Mami’s opinion on McDonagh matters significantly. Despite the fact that Finn Balor has trained McDonagh, Judgment Day still hasn’t accepted him. So, if the 33-year-old wrestler manages to impress Mami during the Crown Jewel event, he might get his ticket to finally join the ‘bad guys’ by their side.
Like many other PLEs, at Crown Jewel too, Judgment Day will be battling on the front line to keep their status intact. While Damian Priest is slated to go up against Cody Rhodes, The Eradicator will be fending off four other foes in a ‘Fatal Five Way’ match.
If JD McDonagh can help in either of the matches, he might stand out in front of Ripley. For example, the Irishman can help Mami defeat all four of her challengers to retain the title by distracting the referee or using other illegal tricks. Secondly, even during Priest’s singles match, he can intervene so that the injured wrestler gets pinned down by the Judgment Day star.
Both these incidents can help him earn credit from Rhea Ripley.
McDonagh’s chances of getting recognized at Crown Jewel this weekend may be higher than you think. This is because of the interesting security bypass that he pulled off during last week’s Monday Night Raw.
Has McDonagh already impressed Ripley?

Last week on Raw, we saw The American Nightmare do something unexpected. The ex-EVP of AEW interrupted Damian Priest’s promo in WWE. He challenged the tallest Judgment Day member for a singles match at the upcoming PLE in Saudi Arabia. Priest being the confident heel that he is, accepted it. However, after Rhodes signed the contract, Judgment Day ambushed him in the arena.

While Rhodes’ partner was able to handle most of it with his surprise appearance, JD McDonagh slipped past the security and caught the 38-year-old off-guard. This eventually led to him facing a severe injury at the hands of his future opponent.
