1 of a kind with RVD podcast features WWE Hall of Famer Rob Van Dam and host Dominic DeAngelo. They released episode 14 of their podcast on 22nd August which was titled “Shawn Michaels”. During the podcast, RVD briefly touched upon the meteoric rise of Brock Lesnar during his first run from 2002 to 2004.

He said “Brock Lesnar is, in my opinion, one of the most outstanding individuals to be in the industry. The fact that he can be the UFC Champion at the same time, and legitimately brag about being the toughest guy in the world … that’s so good for the business. And he’s so good for the business. He’s what a pro wrestler should be — he’s a great amateur wrestler that went pro because he was so damn good.

RVD shares an opinion similar to that of many regarding Lesnar. He too feels that Lesnar brought legitimacy to his profile as a pro wrestler when he became UFC Heavyweight Champion. It turned out to be a good decision for Lesnar and WWE. As per RVD, that’s what an ideal pro wrestler should be.
