25-Year-Old WWE Prospect Ends the Superiority ‘Debate’ and Places Himself Above 6-Time World Champion Roman Reigns: “There Is a Difference”

The Undisputed WWE Universal Champion and the top dog of WWE, Roman Reigns has been carrying the wrestling business for WWE for over three years now. Along his path, he has conquered many opponents including the beast Brock Lesnar, John Cena, Daniel Bryan, Edge, and even Cody Rhodes. But a young 25-year-old star has challenged the authority of The Tribal Chief.

While making his name in the NXT circuit, this young talent believes he is above Roman Reigns in at least one aspect. While giving his interview, he laid down his bold claims that might trigger the Tribal Chief.

NXT Superstars brags about his finisher over Roman Reigns

The spear is one of the most devastating and famous moves in the wrestling industry. Many legendary Superstars have used the move, either as a finisher or a signature move. Among the current stars, 6-times World Champion Roman Reigns uses the move as his finisher. But former NXT Champion Bron Breakker also uses the popular move as the ultimate weapon in his arsenal.

While talking to the Stick To Wrestling podcast on Spotify, the NXT breakout star said, “Roman is fantastic and he’s all the great things that he says he is. But when I Spear people, they don’t get up. I try to inflict as much pain as I can on my opponents. There is a difference, when you turn on the tape, between me spearing someone and then when he does it, cut and dry.”

Bron Breakker feels that his spear is better than Roman Reigns’ spear as his finisher is more intense and his opponents usually do not get up. Breakker, who is the son of former WWE legend Ric Steiner and nephew of wrestling mathematician Scott Steiner, is a physically dominating athlete much like the rest of his family. So it makes sense that his spear would inflict more damage on opponents.

But Breakker has more than just words to solidify his claim. He further said, “There’s no debate, just turn on the tape. All my combined numbers here at the PC (Performance Centre) prove that nobody is faster than me, nobody can jump higher or further, anything. I am the best athlete here. Mine’s better.”

Although there is no doubt over Bron Breakker’s physical abilities he is not the only physical specimen with a spear. There have been many stars with the same special move, but who does it best?

Contenders for the strongest spear in WWE

The spear was popularized in the 90s by Goldberg who would use it as his signature move before delivering Jackhammer as his finisher. Later, Rhyno used a varied version of the spear called Gore. Current WWE superstar Bobby Lashley also uses the move sporadically but as a signature move as did WWE legend and actor extraordinaire Dave Batista.

WWE Hall of Famer Edge also used the move to win many championships. However, fans also consider his spear to be the weakest spear ever. It is ironic as Edge has many moves in his arsenal that could work as a finisher which look more devastating like the edgecution.
