During the entire spot, when Perry was tied against the cage, Team AEW tried every kind of trick to break him. This is when Mark Briscoe ran towards his already injured victim and hit him hard on the head, using the chair that he was carrying. The impact and the way that Jack Perry sold it may have made some of us worry about his health. While the wrestler himself remains silent on the brutal spot, Bryan Alvarez from the Wrestling Observer Radio said, “I can tell you this, it was one of the shaved-down chairs. I don’t know how shaved down that is, I don’t know how soft it is, but it was a gimmicked chair.

Even though we are still waiting for the wrestler to update the world about his health, Alvarez’s analysis may be correct because it is unlikely that AEW would risk a roster talent’s health. Nevertheless, it looks like his days of inflicting pain on a former rival haven’t died down as he was also featured in a recent image alongside CM Punk‘s latest rival in WWE.

Jack Perry spotted in a picture with Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre posted a picture on social media alongside Jack Perry, probably to show CM Punk that he has been meeting with his real-life rivals while their feud is still active in WWE. He eventually went on to delete the post. But he wasn’t quick enough because, by the time it was off the internet, another one of Punk’s real-life rivals had taken a screenshot of the picture. Kenta went on to upload the picture on his Instagram story to let people know that neither has he forgotten about his real-life feud against CM Punk nor will he let the fanbase forget that two of his rivals met up in real life.

Have an interesting take?

The picture of McIntyre and the AEW star now also had a cropped image of Kenta laughing in the corner. This was an ultimate shot at the “Best in the World”. Even though “Jungle Boy” wasn’t deliberately a part of any callouts to his former foe, he still served the purpose despite laying waste to their rivalry several months ago. Now, the hit that he took from that chair from Briscoe foreshadows a potential backstage brawl between them as well, if it wasn’t a gimmick prop.
