“Trust Fund Baby”: WWE Legend Continues His Feud Against Tony Khan With His Latest Array of Shots

Tony Khan receives a lot of criticism on a regular basis. While some fans have genuine criticism of Khan’s creative decisions or online behavior, other’s represent a vocal section of the anti AEW brigade. However, there are some that call him out every chance they get. Eric Bischoff is one of those people who call out the owner of AEW frequently.

Recently, the former WCW employee shared his view on Tony Khan again while talking on the podcast 83 Weeks. He also uploaded a short clip from that specific episode to let wrestling fans in on what he has to say about the CEO now.

WWE legend calls out Tony Khan for having a rich father

For several months, wrestling fans have been trying to decipher where Sasha Banks (Mercedes Mone) would end up after her hiatus. While some speculate her to join WWE, others believe AEW will be the one to sign Mone. Bischoff, alongside the co-host of the podcast, Conrad Thompson pitched in on the recent update.

In the clip shared by the WWE legend on YouTube, we can see Thompson putting his thoughts on the table and admitting that while WWE can make Banks a superstar again, AEW can probably give her more money.

To this, Eric Bischoff added, “Could Tony, in whatever state of mind Tony happens to be in at any given moment go, ‘I’m really ready to buy all these services and I’m gonna spend whatever. I’m gonna outbid for her services because I can. Because I’m a trust fund baby and I don’t have to account to anybody or actually make any money’.”

While Bischoff doesn’t have any personal feuds with Tony Khan, he doesn’t respect him as the CEO of a promotion. According to the former booker, Khan is able to give out such alluring contracts because his father is already a successful businessman.

In another recent episode of the same podcast 83 Weeks, Eric Bischoff was asked the reason behind his criticism of the CEO of AEW. The 68-year-old confessed that this one time, Tony Khan had disrespected Bischoff and Ted Turner. This was way back when AEW had recently started.

Khan publicized that his promotion would be more successful than WCW, as he had more knowledge about wrestling than Ted Turner had. Bischoff was shocked by Tony Khan’s criticism and decided to fire back. Since then, he hasn’t been able to stop.
