While it’s not surprising to see the WWE win the viewership battle against AEW, one would have expected a better fight from the Jacksonville-based promotion. That, however, didn’t happen. As per reports stating figures from fast national data, Collision- which had its inaugural episode on June 17 of this year- managed a total viewership of 251,000. In October, AEW and WWE had faced one another in a turf battle which was dubbed in the press as ‘Tuesday Night War’. AEW’s prime show, Dynamite locked horns with WWE’s NXT. While NXT has had defeats by AEW in the past, the October 10 saga was different. The developmental brand received a huge boost as a bevy of WWE Superstars, including John Cena, Paul Heyman, Cody Rhodes, and more surprisingly The Undertaker appeared on the show.

WWE banked heavily on the star power, and the numbers delivered. Dynamite garnered 609,000 total viewers, compared to 921,000 from NXT. And now their recent battle has further demonstrated the stronghold of WWE in the ratings war.
