2024 has recorded the era of Triple H or Paul Levesque in the WWE. With Vince McMahon’s complete removal from the company, a massive change has swept over the landscape of WWE. However, not all the changes have been positive. There has been some criticism towards the recent WWE Draft 2024. Many rising talents of NXT got the call-up to the main roster. While some have made their mark, others have yet to have their first match.

The 18th WWE Draft took place on April 26 episode of SmackDown and 29 episode of RAW. Several business legends showed up to call out the picks who would be seeing a brand change. The WWE Draft is also the gateway for NXT talent to get their call to the main roster. This was true for Carmelo Hayes, Baron Corbin, Kiana James, Ilja Dragunov, Lyra Valkyria, Blair Davenport, and Dijak.

While Carmelo Hayes got a match with Cody Rhodes on his first night on the main roster, not everyone else was so lucky. Dragunov, Corbin, and Valkyria got a spot in the King and Queen of the Ring tournament. While Dragunov and Corbin didn’t make it to the finals, Valkyria did. The Irish lass experienced his first PLE on the main roster in Saudi Arabia.

Unfortunately, Dijak, who was massive in NXT, has yet to experience anything. He was part of the Night 2 draft pool and was drafted to RAW. However, the former Ring of Honor star hasn’t yet had a match. When asked about it on social media, he said, “Listen man you’re the booker.”

Thanks to the draft, Dragunov, Hayes, and Valkyria have had the most success on the roster. Hayes is set to feud with LA Knight, while Dragunov is in an ongoing story with Ricochet and Bron Breakker. Valkyria is under Becky Lynch’s mentorship, but this wouldn’t be the first time The Game has garnered criticism for his booking choices.

Stars like Zoey Stark, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Tegan Nox, Cameron Grimes, and The Pretty Deadly have yet to make their mark on the main roster. While these stars have been seen on the product, their lackluster work has raised some questions.

While Stark remains dominant on RAW, The Pretty Deadly has become another tag team. With a massive roster under all three brands, it is clear that not everyone gets the spotlight. However, with the call-up to the main roster, something should’ve been planned to boost the momentum of the rising NXT stars. Nevertheless, perhaps their time in the sun could come closer as we get into the thick of things heading into SummerSlam. What do you think? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
