One of wrestling’s most infamous figures, Eric Bischoff, recently entered the WWE Hall of Fame. WWE announced his induction on their Instagram page, making him the second member of the 2021 class along with Molly Holly. Some may claim this induction was long overdue, while some might call it controversial due to his AEW dalliance.

Eric Bischoff’s last appearance in a wrestling ring was for AEW. He addressed a Town Hall meeting between MJF and Chris Jericho before their Full Gear clash. Since then, Bischoff has been under the wrestling radar.

His last WWE appearance came on the infamously poor Raw Reunion episode, but his role in WWE extended beyond that. Bischoff became the executive director of SmackDown in 2019, while Paul Heyman ran things on Raw. Unfortunately, his run on SmackDown ended in October 2019 for undetermined reasons.

He made his first AEW appearance moderating a debate between Orange Cassidy and Chris Jericho, marking his return to TNT for the first time since his WCW days.

Bischoff played an incredible role and is part of the reason why WWE is the pro-wrestling juggernaut it is today. While he may have run WCW into the ground, he made a terrific Raw General Manager and a cunning heel. Vince McMahon shocked the world by hiring Bischoff to run Raw but eventually ended up hating his guts.

Congratulations to one of wrestling’s most iconic names for making to the Hall of Fame.

WWE COO and NXT Executive Producer Triple H congratulated Eric Bischoff on his induction into the 2021 class of the Hall of Fame. During the Game’s career, he crossed paths with the former WCW President multiple times, but they mostly worked hand-in-hand.

In 2002, Triple H returned from injury and was awarded the brand new World Heavyweight Championship by Eric Bischoff himself. We viewed this as one of the easiest title wins in WWE history and marked the beginning of Triple H’s reign of terror on Raw.

Aside from the maiden World Title reign, Triple H and Eric Bischoff’s camaraderie extended to something a little more personal- Stephanie McMahon. Bischoff shared an on-screen kiss with Triple H’s wife during his run as the Raw General Manager. To make matters worse, Bischoff imitated Steph’s father, Vince McMahon, before unveiling his true identity to her.
