The recent actions of the WWE appear to indicate that The King of Kings has already identified Pat McAfee as Kevin Patrick’s potential replacement. The Chief Content Officer recently took to Twitter as he reacted to Pat McAfee’s congratulatory tweet on WWE and Netflix’s amazing partnership. In a reaction, Triple H mockingly replied to the former football punter by claiming that he was also a member of the promotion and that he could not leave now. “You’re a part of this, @PatMcAfeeShow You can’t get away now lol,” he wrote.

Pat McAfee previously worked with the WWE as a color commentator on the blue brand alongside Michael Cole. During his stint with the WWE, the 36-year-old also made several appearances as a guest commentator for WWE’s NXT TakeOver events in 2018 before signing a contract with the promotion in February 2019. He was also made a part of a storyline back in 2020, as he feuded with Adam Cole and made his WWE NXT in-ring debut at TakeOver XXX; however, he lost the match. But what about Kevin Patrick? How big of a part was he of the WWE?

WWE has decided to make a change on SmackDown, specifically at the commentary table. Since August 2023, the classic duo at the blue brand’s commentary table has been Kevin Patrick and Corey Graves, but this will no longer be the case, as the company has decided that Patrick will no longer serve as a commentator on SmackDown.
Kevin Patrick joined WWE in March 2021, and during these years he has played several roles, especially those of commentator, while also participating in the WWE After the Bell podcast with Corey Graves; however, that show ran its course by the end of 2023.

Patrick has also been serving as a commentator on Monday Night Raw since October 2022. He soon earned a transfer to the blue brand, while Michael Cole and Wade Barrett became the main commentators for the red brand. For now, the reasons that have led WWE to make this drastic decision are unknown. The promotion has also not made it clear whether Kevin still plies his trade for the company. What do you think of McAfee as Patrick’s replacement? Let us know in the comments.
